As you can see from the image to your right, deaths are classified in many different
ways. Sometimes the officials label the death incorrectly which can bring great hardships on the affected family members.
In conducting this analysis, JMA will examine police procedures, crime scene steps utilized, evidence handling
and collection procedures, crime laboratory analysis, autopsy results, statements by witnesses and suspects, and all other
matters associated with the investigation.
If you have any reason to believe this has happened to you, JMA Forensics will conduct an Equivocal Death
Analysis to help you understand what actually occurred and if the label is incorrect, assist you in getting that issue
resolved and properly labeled.
Additonally we sometimes see cases of alleged murder and/or suicide that have contributing causal factors
such as drugs like SSRI's and other issues. This type of case also deserves an evaluation through an Equivocal Death
Analysis. As a surviving family member you would probably feel better about having answers produced by the analysis
then to not know at all what and why it happened.
